Title: Senior Development Coordinator

Reports to: Senior Development & Marketing Manager

Schedule Type: Full-time, Exempt

Location: Office located in Anaheim, CA. Requires some travel throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Pay Range: $25-$27/hr

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and directing multi-channel fundraising initiatives through annual fundraising appeals, events and campaigns (includes digital campaigns, social media, direct mail, crowd funding, and other channels)
  • Design and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship program, focusing on Major Gifts donors, that involves building processes, a pipeline and stewardship practices for program fundraising including upgrade, downgrade, lapse and new donors
  • Track and analyze campaign and fundraising event progress including strategies, tasks, income projections, and actual income received
  • Create and maintain donor recognition programs with support from the Development Coordinator and other staff, including thank you emails, calls, gifts, and messaging/videos
  • Oversee implementation and coordination of all special event activities including annual banquet, fundraisers, and donor events
  • Create event calendars to reflect the communication with donors, special events, and campaigns
  • Collaborate closely with the Communications team to provide program content for fundraising event and program material
  • Supervise the Development Coordinator
  • Coordinate with Operations Department on income/pledge tracking, campaign and event income updates, and other data analysis as needed
  • Secure sponsorship and advertisements for annual banquet and special events/programs
  • Support monthly donor program to include maintenance/engagement of existing donors and expansion of new donors through supervision of the Development Coordinator
  • Implement and promote planned giving program as well as employee match opportunities
  • Other relevant tasks as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (Business/Marketing or related field is preferred)
  • Minimum of five years development experience, preferably in a social justice-oriented nonprofit
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines
  • Must have strong initiative and demonstrate the ability to learn in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision
  • A record of measurable results in organizing and implementing initiatives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills


  • Full-time with occasional evenings and weekends required
  • Occasional travel locally for outreach including participating in community events
  • All CAIR staff are required to assist in general duties such as answering phones, weekly outreach, fundraising, and other office tasks as required
